Three Years Ago...

Today marks one of the best decisions I've ever made--marrying Josh.  We have had a great past three years together.  Marriage is such a great thing.  I love being with Josh everyday.  He is my best friend.  Of course there are ups and downs in marriage. I feel like he is the only person I ever want to expereince my bad days with, my struggles, my overly emotional episodes.  He is so patient and is doing such a great job at learning each day how to handle living with TWO women ;)  Whenever I'm sick or have been in the hospital, he's the only one I want by my side.  He makes everything better.  Even if I'm upset (at usually something I've brought upon myself), I can't ever be mad too long because he is my favorite person and the only one I want to talk too.  On the other hand, we have so much fun together.  He makes me laugh and I find daily, he has a quirky side to him.  He encourages me to be the best I can, he believes in me, he wants the best for me and Charlotte.  He is such a positive person to be around.  I learn so much from him.  He truly is the perfect person for me.  I truly understand that phrase.

Here is how our day was three years ago...

Carlsbad Flower Fields

We found another southern California gem today...the Carlsbad Flower Fields.  We went down with Brian and Desiree and were surprised to see what we did.  The flowers were on a slope and they went on for a while.  Then below all the flowers were a sweet pea maze, food, smaller flower patches, and more.  It was such a beautiful day and we were really glad we went.  We got some great family photos and I can't wait to print them and put them around my home!

Boston Strong

I feel like it's my turn to say a few things about the Boston Bombings.  I have never been to Boston, but because it has a special place in Josh's heart, I feel like I share that love in some ways.  I will one day go and when I do, I will always think of what happened the day of the Boston Marathon 2013.  I just can't even believe if something like this happened where I live.  But this did happen to real people, right in their hometown.  It injured and killed people that had families and friends.  My heart aches for those who were affected.  I am just so sick of all this mass shooting, bombing or whatever it is these days.  Will we ever have answers?  Will this ever end?  How do we protect our children from the evils in our very own country? Obviously, I do not understand the mind of someone who does this.  I do not understand what goes on in their personal lives.  It makes me sad and sometimes I do live in fear.  But I know that we must be "strong" and I believe our country does a good job at uniting.  The United States isn't perfect, but we know how to come together in times of need.

Today Josh and I showed our support and love for the people of Boston by wearing our only Boston appearal, our Red Sox shirts, as we walked the Mission Viejo Lake.  Stay strong Boston.

Another First...the BEACH!

Yesterday, Josh had the day off (Woohoo), so we decided to take advantage of the 80 degree weather and head down to San Clemente.  We stopped by Costco on the way and bought two beach chairs and an umbrella.  We just can't have Charlotte's perfect baby skin get burned.  It was such a fun day, just our little family.  The beach was not crowded, although, it was super rocky on the sand.  If anyone has suggestions of smooth sand beaches, please let me know! Of course going later in the afternoon, the sun is moving fast, so we kept having to adjust the umbrella because Charlotte would scoot her way to the sun.  She LOVED the sand, the train that kept going by, and just being outside.  She is so fun to take places because she is constantly wanting to explore her surroundings.  I am glad that she enjoyed the beach and I look forward to a whole summer full of days like yesterday!!

New and Improved

As you can tell, I changed up my blog.  And I love it.  I have it done by 3 Eleven Design that I found on Etsy.  I was getting bored of my blog and needed a major facelift.  I tried some things on my own and totally ruined the whole thing.  But now I am in love with it and I hope you will all enjoy reading my blog more, too!

Fun With Courtney

Courtney is in town and that means it's time to have fun...well, more fun than we already have ;)  Finally I had a great excuse to have Sprinkles Ice Cream!  Courtney and I went to Fashion Island for our treat and then to the mall to walk it off!

After Fashion Island, we went back to Rick and Arlene's where we hung out for a bit and Courtney made a great dinner...spaghetti!

The next day, I was a part of a focus group and Courtney volunteered to come babysit for me.  Charlotte loves her!

Thursday, we went to Disneyland and met up with Abby and Jeff and the boys and Brian and Desiree.  It was such a great day with wonderful weather!!

Hopefully we get to see more of Courtney before she leaves!!

Update

My family has been in town for the last six days and just left this afternoon.  Unfortunately, all of them took turns getting sick.  It was a bummer, but we were still able to hang out.  Here is an overview with pictures...

I also got a job as a Personal Assistant!  As a lot of you know, I have been looking for some work that I can keep Charlotte with me.  It's four hours a day and I run errands and do some household tasks.  I am enjoying it and so grateful for this opportunity.
