Today is the day I have been waiting for (and also the reason for some lame blog posts lately)! I am starting my own business, The T. Whit Project, and am SOOOOOOO excited about it. To cut to the chase, it will be a site to sell my gently used clothes on. There are other services on the site as well so you'll just have to check it out. I have sent an email to several people and look forward to the word spreading. Tell all your friends and there will be a giveaway to the first customer. HAPPY SHOPPING!

Even Better Product
I made my routine visit to Sephora and asked about more products that help control oily faces. They gave me a sample of Murad's Oil-Control Mattifier SPF 15. I thought my last product review was awesome, this is better. When you out this on, it kinda smells and feels like glue, and there is no color whatsoever. But I put it on and I swear I had no shine AT ALL!! I just put a little powder over it and wha-la! Amazing.

Utah State Fair 2011
We all remember the time Josh and I went to the Utah State Fair two years ago while we were dating. We got together with Preston and Kasey and went again this year! The only difference...we are all married now! It was a lot of fun. We went during the day, so it was a little warm, but we enjoyed some pizza and frozen lemonade and came back to our place and had ice cream. Yeah, it was a junk food day! I tell ya, fairs bring out all walks of life. It was so interesting to see all the crazies Utah has to offer. The four of us went on the ferris wheel (Preston's request). I have never been nervous to go on a fair ride until yesterday. I was almost in tears (behind the sunglasses). There is something about going on a ride that was set up within a few hours. It made a lot of noises, noises that I never hear at Disneyland :) We survived the ferris wheel and soon as it started going my nerves settled.
Later that night, Josh went to watch the (awful) BYU vs. Uof U football game, while Kasey and I went to the mall and did some shopping. Then we picked up Preston and went to Zupas. Yum! It totally hit the spot. Thanks Kasey and Preston for babysitting me last night. I met up with Josh and talked with Jordan and Dane til like 12:30 am. Love them.
Just another quick photo...meal after church (Linner?)

Happy Birthday Joshy!!
It's Josh's BIRTHDAY!! We are once again the same age :) We met up for lunch at Panda Express and then all the fun began when Josh got home. Meg was here to watch open presents.
Umm...this is me sporting my red pants. I joined the craze. Meg had hers on today, too. I'll have to get the picture we took together from her. I'm blinking, but it looks kind of freaky. Neilson's have the worst Red Eye.
Shiga, WHAT? Rated: PG
For those of you who don't know, my major is Community Health. One of my classes I have to take is Environmental Health. We so far have been studying diseases that you can get from....the ENVIRONMENT! Ding, ding, ding!! On Monday we were all partnered up and were given a topic. My friend, Hannah, and I were assigned Shigellosis and Amoebic Dysentery. What is that? Basically it has to do with fecal matter. Gross, I know. So if you'd like to leave my blog now, feel free, it's just going to get worse and graphic. Each partnership had to present their disease to the class in a creative way. Of course, I first think of something to do with music. (If you ask me, Shigellosis sounds like a dance or rap song.) I decide we should write and song and present that and Hannah decides on making "Shig" cookies (sorry for the language). You have to understand that the symptoms are either chronic constipation or diarrhea. There are other ones, but those are the main ones. I told you it was going to get graphic. We get really excited for this; so I work on the song and Hannah makes her first-ever, No-Bake cookies...really, what other edible food looks like poop? On Wednesday, our teacher was a little disappointed that there was a lack of creativity in all the presentations and encourages those who present on Friday to really think of something neat to share. We assured him he wouldn't be disappointed. Fast Forward to today...we practiced the song once before together. I am like losing my voice (not that my original singing voice is any better), but Hannah reassures me she used to be in Choir! We were first up and the class loved it. We put the words up on the screen so everyone could sing along (the red lyrics are the ones we changed). The title: "Baby, I Wasn't Born This Way." To the tune of Lady Gaga's, "Baby, I Was Born This Way."
Our teacher stood up at the end of class and said, "The most creative award goes to Shigellosis." We were pretty proud of our work. Now, when the test comes along, everyone will remember it because of the song and cookies. Thanks Hannah for all your help. Your cookies weren't too bad either ;)
*Shiga was the Chinese man who found Shigellosis...FYI

Personal Shopping
The other night, our friends, Dane and Bridget Smith, invited us over for dinner. Fajitas...YUM! We had a lot of fun, playing with their baby girl, Lynlee and talking up a storm. After dinner and some amazing Earnestly Chocolate ice cream from the Creamery, Bridget and I sat on the couch as the men played the Wii. Well, we were pretty bored watching them, so Dane (I think) suggested we go shopping. First of all, I would have a HEART ATTACK if Josh suggested I go shopping. Mine and Bridget's eyes lit up and we ran to the car. I didn't even have my purse, we were going strictly for Bridget. It was the funnest shopping experience ever! I felt like I would be hurtful and offend her because I will tell my honest opinion. After the first store, I felt like she was not going to like coming with me. Then we went to Forever 21. I don't care who you are, we all secretly like Forever 21 and we can always find cute things in that store for CHEAP! I started going around picking up stuff that I didn't even know if she would like. I know she looked at it all like, "I would never pick any of that out," but still agreed to try it all on. She liked it ALL! Although she didn't purchase all of it, she got (most of it and) some great things to start with and build upon. Lots of stripes and colored pants. I wish I had taken pictures. Her hubby liked the clothes too (which was the most important goal). When we got home, we went back to her closet and went through her clothes to see what she could give to D.I. It was such a fun night which got me thinking....
What if I went into this a career?? I swear everyday I want to do something different. But this seriously would be so much fun. There are a lot of stores and companies who already provide this service but then there are a ton of individuals who run their own business. My question to you (and I mean all of you that come across this blog) is, would you pay for this service? Would you let someone else shop for you? Would you let someone re-vamp your wardrobe? I am really serious about this. I don't know if it would be a huge career, but definitely something on the side. To you Utah readers, I would love to go shopping with you. Do you need an honest opinion of clothes you try on? Do you need suggestions with clothes? Please let me know and I would love to help. For FREE!!! It would give me great practice. I can work with all budgets. I am dead serious. I know a lot of people look at my blog (I see the numbers), so please leave comments and be honest. I can take it :)

Tuesday Trial
No I am not going to vent about my trials, however I will rave about a free trial. Anyone who knows me, knows that I have tried every cosmetic product out there that has to do with making your skin "beautiful." Whether it means makeup, face washes, or prescription acne treatments, I've done it all. This past summer I had my skin clear up (maybe because I am 26 and it's about time) and therefore was not wearing any makeup. I tried a few tinted moisturizers, just so I could even my skin tone out. I thought I found one that I really liked. BUT, when I went to get a free sample at Sephora, the beauty consultant encouraged me to stay away from tinted moisutrizers because they tend to be a bit on the oil side (even if they are oil-free). She recommended I try a color corrector and filled up a trial size container of Boscia B.B. Cream SPF 27 PA++.Can I just tell you this has changed my life!! It is so matte and really smooths everything out. I put this on after my moisturizer. I seriously could leave the house with just this; but I always put a little blush or hint of bronzer. I have only got the free trial of this, since I only discovered it about two weeks ago. But this Thursday is pay day and you know it's the first thing I am purchasing. I tried to explain to Josh, but he didn't really understand. When we women find a product that works, it's like Christmas morning. Since you don't need more than a dime size, this tube will last a long time. If any of you women out there are looking to minimize the makeup on your face, this is the product for you. I seriously feel like nothing is on my face right now. Go get your free sample at Sephora. You'll love it.

September 11, 2001
It was ten years ago today I sat in my Ceramics, 1st period class as a sophomore at Trabuco Hills High school when America changed forever. There was a girl who sat at my table whose father was a pilot. She was awaiting a phone call letting her know if her dad was on the flight (that I would later find out) crashed into the World Trade Center in NYC. The phone call came and all was well. Her dad had not taken that flight, for whatever reason. I had been in early-morning seminary and then straight to school. I had not heard anything about planes crashing. And being three hours behind east coast time, I was a little behind in finding out. I remember walking to second period, math class, with Coach Ellis. On my way to class I asked a friend, "what is going on?" She replied, "Tiersha, we are in war." Of course my thoughts went to, "It's the second coming!" But little did I know what really happened. I walked into math class and my teacher had the news on and did not speak one word to the class the entire hour. We all had our faces glued to the TV. The rest of the day was pretty much a blur.
This week has been a whirl of emotions. When I am getting ready in the morning, I always have Good Morning America on. The whole week they have been replaying stories and the sights of September 11, 2001. I was doing a good job at keeping the tears at bay, but there were a couple things that stood out to me.
This story: http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/video/911-decade-american-tragedy-14449673#.TmzW-cqljio.google
And this song (which I heard in the car and the tears would not stop flowing):
Now as I sit hear, with tears streaming down my face as each name is being read on the television of everyone who was killed on 9/11, I am reminded of all my many blessings, my family, friends, and everything I am able to enjoy in this short life. We never know when our lives will be taken, so let us live life to our best ability. I am so sad to watch all of these people who lost their brothers, sister, fathers, mothers, friends, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Someday we will understand why this terrible act was allowed and one day all these family members will be reunited.
September 11, 2001 is a day I will never forget, none of us will. Let us remember and God Bless America.

Labor Not on Labor Day
This weekend has been so relaxed and....relaxing seems to be the only word that describes it. Saturday, Josh and I went shopping. But this time it was all for Josh. We wanted to do all his birthday shopping this weekend and hit the sales. We have been very tired (and bored) of the plain t-shirt look. He still needs a "signature" look, so he chose to switch to the button-up look. He has gradually eased into it, but now is going in full-fledged. He looks good (if I do say so myself). We looped around to Nordstrom Rack in Sugar House, Fashion Place Mall in Murray, and then back home- with a stop at Golden Spoon (thanks Groupon). That night we babysat Eli. Meg came over and let's just say, he liked her better than us :(
That night I finally organized my closet...by color. It looks so much better and easier to find things.
Sunday was a lazy day. So nice just hanging out with Josh again. I think we literally sat on the couch the whole day. It's nice to have days like that every once and a while :)
This morning we went to Kneaders for breakfast, got some jeans hemmed for Josh and then I went to Savers with Meg. We got some great deals. I love these capris I got at Savers a little bit ago. Second hand stores are awesome. And then when they have a 50% off sale, getting a cute winter skirt for $2 is hard to beat!
We ended our day with a BBQ at Jon and Kari's and snow cone from Surf and Slurp. Yum! We are not looking forward to school tomorrow. Having days off are so nice, but we know it can't last forever. Back to our daily routine's tomorrow. We hope everyone had a great Labor Day weekend and was able to relax a bit.
