Fun, Sunny Days in Charlotte

Lately, we have been having a lot of fun in Charlotte!  This might sound a little different than some of my previous posts, but I am really feeling like this is home.  After my trip to CA, I realized that Charlotte isn't that bad of a city and we are figuring out new things to do all the time!

Last week, we went over to our friends, the Nyborgs, house for a little splash in the kiddie pool.  Charlotte loves the twins and LOVES Becky!  We are so glad that we have met such nice friends.  We lathered on the sunscreen and let the little ones put whatever they wanted in the pool (yes, food ended up being in there)!!

The next day Charlotte and I went to our new favorite place, CAROWINDS!!  Oh yeah!  We go often, and Charlotte is in heaven.  The kiddie pool is 4" and it's perfect for her.  When we are done, we do a quick ride on the merry-go-round and then she zonked out in the car on the way home (5 miles away).

Over the weekend, we were able to visit Uptown Charlotte and attend, "Taste of Charlotte."  Basically, a huge food festival of local vendors.  It was a lot of fun...due to the really good food!!  I am pretty sure the whole population of Charlotte was there!  The fun thing about living in a big city is that there are fun events like this that everyone gets excited about. The street was super crowded and the weather was amazing!  I loved it!

Afterward, Josh wanted to show us Freedom Park, which was absolutely beautiful.  Charlotte ran around the path and wanted to pick up every rock!  It was the perfect day and I look forward to more this summer!
