My Friend, Lisa

Can I just brag about my friend Lisa?  Lisa and I became great friends in our student ward up in Provo (where I still am).  I remember the first time I saw Lisa.  Her and her husband Kasey, were teaching Sunday School and I thought they were just the cutest couple.  The way they looked at each other, there was NO DOUBT they weren't in love.  They held hands all the time, kissed whenever they saw the chance and I knew that I wanted to get to know Lisa even more.  Then we got our visiting teaching assignments.  Me and Lisa were companions!!!  Boy, did Heavenly Father know!  It was a VT match made in heaven.  I loved being with Lisa.  We became more than VT comps but good friends.  Then in January, Lisa started doing the Wii Biggest Loser game.  Here comes the bragging part....since January, Lisa has now lost 93 pounds and did it all on her own!!  Take a look at her journey...

Right now, I am starting to watch what I eat and would love to drop a few pounds.  She is my inspiration.  You look amazing, Lisa.  Keep up the good work.

  3. BTW: I keep thinking about this. I just thought I should clarify a few things.

First of all... I feel slightly embarrassed about all the PDA. Sorry! I am still so completely in love though--my students picked up on it when they looked at my wedding picture. Funny story, maybe I will have to share that one on my blog.

Second... There is no way I could have done this all on my own. First there was my sweetheart (and here I go gushing again...). We both changed our lives and eating habits. He gave up so much to support me. But what especially kept me motivated was reading everyone's comments and encouragement both on our blog and fb. Many days when I was struggling, I would go back and read comments over and over and then fight through the plateau. That is why your post means so much to me. It makes me determined to keep working hard.

Whew... that was slightly long. :)
