Family Pictures

For Christmas, Josh got a tri-pod for our camera, so today we put it to use.  I thought while we are in nice clothes after church, let's take some good pictures.  I have a lot of picture-taking insecurities and the peplum shirt isn't the most flattering, but overall they turned out ok (I'm posting them, aren't I?).

I love this one with Charlotte holding her daddy's face.

Happy Easter!

It's Charlotte's first Easter, so of course we had to go sit on the Easter bunny's lap.  I thought she was going to take one look at him and freak; but she proved her momma wrong.  She of course gave him the typical Charlotte look...

But after a few snaps of the camera, she started cracking smile for us.  Good thing, because getting your picture with the Easter bunny is EXPENSIVE.  But first timers like us (a.k.a SUCKERS) will pay.  Anything for an only child, right?

This morning, Charlotte opened her Easter basket (donated by G & G Sheppard).  It was full of hair bows, food pouches and the spoon that screws on them.  I am really excited to try this new world of food.  It has begun a little, but there is still so much more for me to learn about!!  G & G Sheppard and Aunt Robyn also gave her a singing stuffed bunny and gave us some chocolate bunnies!  Thank you!

Look at those cheeks!

Last night, Josh and I attended "Savior of the World" put on by the Anaheim Stake.  My aunt Robyn was in the choir and we thought it would be a great way to get into the Easter spirit.  I feel like so many times, I just get caught up in the chocolate and bunnies of Easter and don't take time to reflect on why we really celebrate the holiday.  It was an amazing performance!  I really felt the spirit throughout the production and have a strong testimony that Jesus Christ is our Savior.  That through Him, we can return to live with our Heavenly Father and be an eternal family.  I am grateful for the opportunity to go watch this play.  Thank you G & G Sheppard for watching Charlotte for us as well!

Tonight we went over to Jim and Janice's for dessert with the Neilson's.  It's getting very different everytime we get together.  Cousins live all over the place, you never know who's going to show up.  It was a fun night seeing everyone that did show up!

Enjoying Orange County

Saturday was probably one of the best days since we have lived here.  Although we complain about the Orange County real estate and rental prices, we love living here.  There really is so much to do, mostly all outdoors, because of the amazing weather year round.

Our day started by dropping off Charlotte at my grandparents while we ran over to Disneyland to enjoy my first experience at Club 33.  KPMG has a membership and to say thank you to for the last last busy assignment, a partner and manager took three of the guys that worked on the assignment and everyone brought a significant other.  When Josh told me about this, like a month ago, I couldn't believe it.  I was stoked!  He went during his internship, but wasn't able to bring me and I was so jealous.  But I just had to be patient and finally got to go.  I had to capture a lot of my experience, but not too much where Josh felt humiliated!

Been waiting a long time for my picture here

After we were done with lunch, we went to pick up Charlotte and headed down to Balboa Island, where we met with Jack, Joanna and Molly.  We hung out, they got their first Balboa Bar, ate at BJ's, walked on the pier, took the ferry across, visited with Rick, Arlene and Luke, and just enjoyed the beautiful evening.  Perfect day!  And that's why we love living here!

Just chillin'
