Josh and I have been so busy everyday lately, since graduation it feels like. We haven't had too many relaxing days (besides the cruise). Tomorrow I am very much looking forward too. We have planned on going to Park City. We love this place. Not only was it where Josh and I went a few times while we were dating AND it's where Josh proposed to me, but it feels like you are on a little vacation. It gets us out of the hub-bub of Provo, everything is much slower pace, it's very quaint and chic. I love Park City. I think I will actually miss it when we move. I don't think we have been in several months, but if we went ALL the time, it wouldn't be as special. I'm also looking forward to tomorrow because we are going to hit some sales and get some baby clothes!! I'm still trying to talk Josh into going on the Alpine Slide. I did it when I was younger and probably shouldn't do it pregnant, but he really needs to do it. Don't you think?

27 Weeks
Almost to the third trimester! This is going so fast! Today my app said my baby should almost be two pounds but we all know she past that long ago. It also said I will be gaining more weight than I already have. So if you see Josh rolling me around...yeah...
Josh and I both feel like over the past few weeks I have looked the same but today there seems to be some growing happening. Chiquita is kicking even more and I am still not used to it.
My left foot is still swollen like no other. It's uncomfortable to walk or stand but what can you do? Maybe up my water pills again!!
My stroller arrived at my parents today and I can't wait to see it! We have so much more to buy for this little girl AHHHH! She will be here before we know it!!!

First BIG Baby Purchase
I just bought my stroller and I couldn't be more thrilled!! What did I get? The Britax B-Agile. I have gone to Babies R Us and srolled it around and over the weekend I took Josh to test it out. We both love everything about it. Well, I wouldn't actually say Josh "loves" any stroller, but he was sold for sure after he talked to the salesman. Such an easy sale ;)
Isn't it a beauty? I can't wait to put little Chiquita in it!! I love all the features...everything about it. And boy, did I do my research. I am just so excited. I'm having a CHILD!! This is becoming more real!

Utah Baby Shower
Saturday was my Utah baby shower. Jordan (Josh's cousin) and Tahnee threw it for me and did such a great job. Here are pictures of the decorations. I still need to put pictures up of me and the gifts and guests. I appreciate all the hard work that was put into this. It was absolutely perfect! Thank you for all the gifts and especially those who traveled a far distance!

Tahnee made this wreath...the picture doesn't do it justice, so I'll have to upload a new picture later. The lighting is horrible! |

The Gift of Cruising
For graduation, my parents took Josh and I and Tahnee and Tyler on a
Mexican Riviera cruise. It was much needed and very relaxing.
Unfortunately my feet were swollen the majority of the time and being
pregnant I needed to avoid hot tubs and excessive amounts of heat, stay
hydrated and not do anything too crazy. I drank a ton of water and had a
million frozen yogurt cones (the unlimited ice cream/frozen yogurt
machines were a hit). I'll be the first to admit I ate a ton! Well,
everyone did. But I don't think it really affected my weight so that's
good :) We were also on the Spa level which means we got full use of
all the spa facilities and two free classes in the gym. One morning I
did a Pilates class and it was great. Although I couldn't do the stuff
on my belly (I would just do my own stuff), I still was able to do most
of it. It felt great. The spa also had these different steam and
relaxation rooms which we spent time in and a therapy hot tub (I sat on
the first step so my belly didn't get hot). Seriously, everyone was
obsessed with this wonderful feature. We all wore our robes and
slippers to the spa and sometimes even to eat. We felt important ;)
I'll just post some pictures so you can see what things we did.
Day 2: Josh, Tahnee, my parents and I ended up going to this gorgeous resort all day. We had a $100 voucher for food and swam all day. We ate the most delicious food. It was a very relaxing day. I wish we would have gone here the next day too.
Day 3: Josh and my dad went jet skiing, Tahnee and my mom went parasailing. Then a big group went on the Banana Boat.
Our ship
What we came to each day.
Day 4: We all went on an excursion that, well, wasn't ideal for Josh and I. We took a 40 minute boat ride to snorkel (not the greatest snorkeling), Josh got super sick, I had to be really careful getting on and off the boat and this was the day my feet looked like I put on a fat suit. After snorkeling, we went to a beach where everyone (but us) went on a hike, then to another beach and ate lunch. Then the ride back to the cruise ship. It was not our ideal day, but it was an adventure. Poor Josh was not feeling well. I had no idea he got so sea sick!
Sammy, our tour guide.
Yeah, I know...not attractive...but whatever. The stripes were not working in my favor :)
Mom's birthday celebration
The whole group!
My dad volunteered to go on a love/couple's game show. He got up there and then didn't want to do it anymore haha!
We also went to Disneyland before the cruise....
And after the cruise...two days before our passes expired :(

26 weeks
Today I am 26 weeks pregnant. I can't believe I am approaching my third trimester already! I'm on the down hill towards my due date and I can't wait!
Yesterday were my doctor appointments. Everything went really well and Chiquita is growing quite nicely. Her head is in the 93%!! Lucky me ;) Poor girl got my huge head, maybe she'll be a mini me. Overall, she is in the 68%. She has the cutest little profile and already weighs 2 lbs. 7 oz. we also had the fetal echocardiogram and her heart is perfect! Josh and I were very anxious for the echo and were able to sleep well knowing that her heart is normal. The fetus' heart is so interesting and changes 24-48 hours after they are born. I won't go into all the details that the doctor went over with us, but the human body is incredible!
I am getting more uncomfortable at night. Leg pains are getting more intense and I wake up several times a night. But it's ok, I feel great still and know that this will all be worth it.
I only gained five pounds since my last appointment, which was a month ago. I feel so good about that since they say the average is to gain two pounds a week. AND I was on a cruise and eating a ton. So yeah, I am feeling pretty good about that!
My Utah shower is this weekend and I can't wait. Tahnee and Jordan have put so much time and effort, I can't wait to see the finish product!

24 Weeks
While I hit my 24 week mark, I was sailing the ocean blue on a Mexican Riviera cruise. So I thought I'd put it up now (Even though tomorrow is 25 weeks).
Well here I am, getting bigger and still feel great. I really do feel blessed for having never been sick once. Being 24 weeks brought on some new issues. 1) I really wanted to wear my wedding ring on my cruise. I haven't worn it for about 2-3 weeks prior just because I was getting nervous I wouldn't be able to ever get it off. But I got a little vain and wanted to take it on my cruise. So the day we were leaving, I slid it on. Soon as I pushed it over my knuckle, I knew I was in trouble. Long story short, I thought I would have to get it cut off (I actually called the local jeweler and asked if they had the tools to do so), tried everything I could think, but after my finger turned purple and puffy, I finally got it off. Phew!! So that issue...sausage fingers. 2) Another thing that came up was my feet started swelling and it's bad! Having a heart condition, I have to keep an eye on my swelling more than the next prego lady. Especially when both feet swell up, which they finally did. My left foot gets much bigger and is in constant pain. But Josh keeps telling me that if this is the worst thing, I'm in good shape. I feel really bad since I can't do a whole lot...I lay down with my feet propped up as much as possible which makes him have to do most everything, but he is such a great sport and keeps telling me that it will all be worth it. I am so grateful for an understanding husband. I upped my water pill prescription which definitely helps the swelling go down. 3) Chiquita is kicking...and Josh has felt her too. He got really excited and it was such a tender moment for me to see his face light up. He has started putting his hand on my belly a lot more and I love it. He always is so concerned about her and how I'm feeling. It's a new side of Josh I am seeing and I am trying to cherish every moment of it. Her kicking is so weird but it's great at the same time. It always catches me off guard but I am feel at peace knowing that she is growing and active! I absolutely love being pregnant and who knows, if delivery goes this well, I just might be popping out another soon after ;)
